M.R. Mackenzie longlisted for the prestigious McIlvanney Prize

We are thrilled to announce that Bloodhound author M.R. Mackenzie’s debut novel, In The Silence, has been longlisted for the McIlvanney Prize 2019.

In The Silence has also made the shortlist for the inaugural Debut Scottish Crime Book Of The Year Award. Described by reviewers as “an excellent addition to the Tartan Noir sub-genre” and an “atmospheric Glaswegian thriller,” In the Silence joins some esteemed company on this year’s longlist.

The selections were made by an independent panel of readers and booksellers. The winners will be announced during the Bloody Scotland International Crime Writing Festival which takes place this September.

Bloodhound would like to take this opportunity to congratulate M.R. Mackenzie along with all of the other longlisted authors.
