We are delighted to announce J.J. Savaunt is the winner of our recent book deal competition!

JJ has signed a three-book deal with Bloodhound Books; the first of which, Barren, will be published later this year.

JJ's reaction:

"It is incredible to have a reputable publisher see my vision and want to invest in it. I've been writing since I was eight years old... it feels surreal that my hobby as a little girl grew into a multi-book contract... I've been working on this story for about five years, so when I got the email that I won I knew all that hard work had finally paid off. This story is audacious and not afraid to dive headfirst into uncharted territory and I'm excited for people to read it and future stories.

I strongly believe that reading is the antidote to ignorance and the best way to educate is to entertain. It is crucial to bring peripheral experiences to the forefront because it raises awareness of issues and can encourage readers to be the change they want to see. Though the story is a fictional tale, the pain, struggle, and triumph in these character arcs are all too real."
